Power to the People With the creation of the first yoga mat recycling program back in 2008 I was eager to put to the test the philosophy that one person can make a world of difference. I've learned that it is the individual, and our personal connection with others, that provides the ground for growth.  As we have grown, we continue to partner with individuals and companies that have created jobs and businesses based on waste reuse and upcycling. With a desire to save our world one mat at a time, Recycle Your Mat was born. Recycle Your Mat was formed around three basic ideas: 1) keep yoga mats out of the landfill 2) create a system for yoga mat recycling 3) recycle and upcycle mats in a ecologically conscious way
